"You think Sieun would even look at you if he saw you like this?" Beomseok spits, grabbing a fistful of Suho's hair and yanking his head up. Suho barely conceals the pained grunt that escapes his lips. "Chained. Bleeding. Pathetic."

Suho's entire body goes still. Sieun. That name lands like a punch to the gut. It's the first time someone other than him has said it aloud in this cursed maze, and he hates it; hates the way it sounds in Beomseok's mouth. Wrong.

Suho stares up at his former friend, blood on his teeth, and for a moment, the pain disappears, swallowed by something colder, by something much more sinister. "What," Suho says, voice rasping but steady, his breath ragged, "jealous that he never looked at you the way he looked at me, mm?"
