One moment, I was drowning. The next, I was breathing air that didn't belong to my world.. And yet, there he was in the middle of all the strangeness. A stranger who looked at me as if I were something unreal. His words, strange and heavy, brushed against my ears, but his eyes-spoke a language I almost understood. When his hand reached for me, even for a second, my heart betrayed me, beating to a rhythm that didn't feel like mine. I should've run. I should've questioned everything.
