A Crown of Carnations

Sir Astrael was once among the noblest of knights, serving his King with a loyalty deeper than blood and more devout than the most pious of priests. He burned down kingdoms and beheaded the Crown's enemies without question until he found himself at the opposite end of his King's sword, accused of crimes he would never have dared commit.

When the royal blade pierced his heart, Astrael's sorrow gave way to an emotion much more dangerous: rage. Perhaps it was the searing heat of that fury that stirred the interest of a God who offered him a chance at vengeance by sending him two years into the past.

Now, with his eyes finally opened and his heart burning with hatred, Astrael must find a way to get his revenge on the man who repaid his devotion with betrayal. But to do so, Astrael must join hands with a man whose heart he had once ripped apart, a man more beastly than most, but the only one powerful enough to help him rewrite fate.
