Auri, a poor thread spinner from a conquered land, travels to the center of the Kingdom of Nythera to confront the kingdom responsible for her brother's death during the war. However, in a single, brutal twist of fate, Auri is torn from prison and bound in marriage to General Cosmos, the heir of the kingdom and her enemy. Now, under the King's eye, Auri must find Atropos, the long-dead Moirai of death, or be executed as a traitor. But, as her journey progresses, Auri feels more and more drawn to both the general and the goddess, whose ties to her are more than just thread-thin.

Meanwhile, Cosmos must face the King's conspiracies that threaten his claims to the throne while tackling a marriage he never wanted. Ordered by the King to find Hera and the answers to why the kingdom is dying, Cosmos must navigate the King's threats against his life--and his growing bond with his unexpected bride, Auri.

Can Auri and Cosmos discover the truth about Nythera's decay before the kingdom falls, or will secrets and fate tear them apart and destroy any hope?
