While the family would normally take a summer vacation together, their sadness made it unbearable. Even though there was only going to be the five of them, one of Kristen's best friends invited Rowan, her first infatuation on university, to accompany them. They became closer than ever as a group of six. Kristen has to confront the challenges and reroute her own course this summer. Additionally, Kristen had to start again when it came to her romantic life due to Rowan's arrival.

(BWWM) EDITING "That cannot happen again." Sunny spoke breaking the silence between us. We must have been sitting in my car for a solid five minutes without saying a word to each other. "Why?" I said I not bothering to look at her. I kept my eyes forward. "Because it's not appropriate." She was stern in the way she was speaking but I could catch the slight uncertainty in her tone. I decided to mess around with her until she finally breaks and confessed how she really feel. "Did you forget you kissed me back." I turned my neck to look at her. She bit her lip and looked down. "Yes, I know and I shouldn't have done that." "Why? Isn't that what you wanted to do." I smirked making sure to watch her every movement. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Sunny Rose is a 21 year old college student. "Everything in life happens for a reason." That is what Olivia Green's family always told her, but she disagrees. Olivia is convinced that the world is out to get her after her life takes a turn for the worse, and her whole world falls apart. After several tragedies occur, Olivia ends up moving across the country to live with her cousin Jay's family. Olivia believes that her life is meaningless and ruined, until she meets "The Essentials". Jay: The friendly cousin who acts like an over-protective older brother. Alex: The goofy, fun-loving clown who can always bring a smile to people's faces. Brady: The sweet, trustworthy friend who will always lend a shoulder to cry on. Keiran: The mysterious badboy who catches Olivia's attention and seems to draw her in with his charm. Jay introduces Olivia to a world of belonging with the help of his fellow essential friends.
