Vani adjusted her backpack nervously as she stepped out of the college gates. The sun reflected off the polished streets, and the air smelled faintly of street food from the vendors lining the lane. She hated like this-too crowded, too loud, and somehow, too many people watching.

Then she noticed him coming.

A tall guy, driving a bike, scanning the crowd like he owned the place. His dark hair fell just enough to shadow his eyes, but the sharpness in his gaze made her heart skip. She quickly looked away-she didn't do awkward stares.

She quickly looked away, pretending to tie her shoelace.

"Hey! You waiting for someone?" a voice called out. Vani flinched, recognizing the voice it was him the boy she meet yesterday, she try to ignore him by looking at other side, but the guy was already walking toward her, an easy smile forming.

"I... uh... no," she stammered, suddenly aware of how ridiculous she must sound.

"Want a ride?" he asked, "promise I won't crash"

Her heart raced. Why was he smiling at her like that?

Little did she know, this one simple ride was about to change everything.
