Scrambled Senior, Sage Arland, is starting to realize that her remaining school days are numbered, and there's only a matter of time before she graduates and moves on from being a university art student. There's a lot of work to do before she can earn her degree, and if that wasn't overwhelming enough, she'll be facing obstacles that may jeopardize everything she's been working for. As graduation approaches, Sage comes face to face with choices that could drastically change the outcome of not only her final year at university, but derail the life she's pictured for herself. The pressure is on, and everyone around her feels it.

In order to graduate with an art degree, every art major must pass the art capstone and spend their final year producing their best body of artwork to date. Sam, the head of the art department is responsible for nurturing the budding artists, but his approach, and his whole being, come to think of it, are the opposite of what Sage and her friends need to feel challenged and successful. When Sam ends up favoring Sage's artwork over her peers, the senior art major cohort starts to sniff out.

And if a sketchy professor wasn't enough to throw off Sage's work, there's always roommate drama to come home to. Sage and Beck were last-minute placed to room with who they thought was a pretty normal peer: Lissa. Shortly after move in, the two girls find out that Lissa is attached at the hip to James, her erratic boyfriend. Boundaries are crossed, belongings are stolen, and the peace always goes unkept.

Each day is one day closer to wrapping up the most unpredictable chapter of Sage's life so far.

Both carry wounds that run deeper than anyone can see, and both fear that happiness may simply be something meant for other people. Yet sometimes healing begins in the most unexpected ways. The question is whether these two broken souls will find the strength to face their pasts and open their hearts... or if the damage done to them will keep them apart forever. _____________________________________________ Please note that the imagery used in my chapters are not 100% mine. Ashlynn Wylde. Age 22, about to be 23. She has three friends, two being family. Growing up, she was always told how odd she was. People gave away a lot with their eyes and Ashlynn was desperately avoiding the intimacy eye contact brought with it. After a terrible encounter when she was in high school, she found herself with a scar stretching from the inside of her palm all the way up to her upper arm. After seeing how much her family struggled, Ashlynn is determined to appear normal. During college, she made her first friend who also happened to be her roommate, but she counted it as an accomplishment. Always trying, she would bring her eyes to people's noses or to a space on their face as close to their eyes as possible...hoping...praying that people would never figure out that eye contact made her want to hurl. People were terrible sometimes, but Ashlynn was on the hunt for the good ones. Now, graduating college, she finds herself as the maid of honor for the only friend she managed to make. With this wedding, comes a whole lot of terrible encounters that push Ashlynn out of her comfort-zone. Most of those encounters she'd put in the same file labeled "Rylan Thatcher". A man who desperately wanted her eyes to remain on him. -- -- "Ronnie used to go on and on about how much he adored it when your eyes would focus on him when he was talking to you." His hand ran up my arm, fingers brushing over my scar. He hooked his hand under my wrist bringing it up and around his neck, our eyes connecting for a second. "I get it now." My breath caught as his hand ran along my neck, thumb pressing against my lower lip, parting them. "Under your gaze, I feel like the most important person in the world." He leaned down, his lips brushing mine. My eyes fluttered shut, but he pulled back causing them to open again. A smirk pressed to the edges of his lips as he made his way lower, brushing his lips against my torso on his way down. "Eyes..." Kiss. "On..." Kiss. "Me." 100K+ words~

"I... Am here to see you.", I told him as I placed my hands around his neck. I could feel my heart beat getting faster but I had to keep it strong if I had to survive this scenario. "What?", Brandon asked completely startled. I leaned in more closer to him. The only good thing in this entire scene was that he wasn't pushing me back due to my creepy behaviour. "Oh... Bran, I was missing you so much, I just... I needed to see you.", I said as I came up with lie. "Are you drunk?", Brandon asked as he leaned in closer trying to smell my mouth. Thank God Fel had given me her mint gum only moments before I went commando and came inside the locker room. "What?", I scoffed still standing extremely close to Brandon. "I just.... I was missing your gorgeous face.", I told another lie. But wait? His face is gorgeous so that isn't a lie. And was I not missing seeing him? I noticed Brandon who just had his eyes popped out of his socket with bewilderment at my words. I decided to peck him on the cheek before I storm out of the locker room. I leaned ahead to peck Brandon who moved his face in my direction and instead of his cheeks, our lips crashed. Brushing against each other, our lips touched. I could feel fireworks exploding inside my entire body. With my neurological system not responding anymore. ******* Depicting the hostility and vulnerability of a young woman to a society the story centers around a normal sophomore, Amy Cole, who had a normal life. Well way too normal for her situation. Amy's life was all good until one day, when her friends dumped her and blamed her for something she never even did. Her life takes a complete turn as her childhood crush, Brandon Mayhew, the Mayor's son, who once broke her heart, rushes back into her life through a series of events. With new friends, shifting thoughts, confused feelings and fighting anxiety and standing for the right thing. Amy makes her way to the top. Only to get at the top of everyone's hate list.

When Sophie Bennett arrives at prestigious Westbrook University for her freshman year, she's ready for the classic college experience: new friends, late-night study sessions, and maybe even romance. What she's not ready for is to find Jake Carter unpacking his stuff in what's supposed to be her single dorm room. Due to a catastrophic housing system glitch during peak enrollment, they've both been assigned to Room 304 in the co-ed Arlington Hall-and with every dorm on campus filled to capacity and a housing waitlist stretching into next semester, they're stuck together. Sophie is a driven psychology major with color-coded planners and dreams of becoming a therapist, while Jake is a laid-back architecture major who takes life as it comes, with a sketchbook always in hand and a tendency to stay up until 3 AM working on projects. Living in impossibly close quarters means witnessing each other at their most vulnerable-Jake walking around shirtless after morning showers, Sophie in oversized t-shirts with sleep-mussed hair, stolen glances that linger too long, and an accidental kiss during a moment of weakness that they both agree to forget (even though neither of them can). As they navigate the electric tension crackling between them, establish ground rules that become harder to follow, and pretend that sharing a room with someone you're wildly attracted to is totally normal, Sophie and Jake discover that the line between roommates and something more isn't just blurred-it's completely erased. By the time they finally stop fighting what's been building between them since day one, they'll realize that sometimes the best things in life are the ones you never saw coming, and that falling in love with your roommate might just be the perfect disaster.
