In the late 1800s, the Malay Peninsula trembles under a terror not born of myth, but of man's own making. Villages burn, families vanish, and in their place rise abominations-high-tech zombies, grotesque and unrelenting, each more terrifying than the last. Among the chaos, fifteen-year-old Tun Melati watches her parents devoured and turned into monsters before her eyes. With only her younger sister, Tun Cempaka, left to protect, Melati is thrust into a world of blood, fear, and survival far beyond her years. Just as death closes in, salvation arrives in the form of Fatimah, a legendary warrior of the Persatuan Pendekar Keris-the last line of defense against the infected. Fatimah sees a spark within Melati: courage unpolished, yet unyielding. Under her watch, Melati begins a harsh journey of discipline, silat, and the art of the keris. But the infection is spreading, and behind it lies a darker truth-men who wield science like a weapon, and an empire built on betrayal. To save her sister, her land, and herself, Melati must grow from frightened girl into warrior, and face not only the monsters outside, but the haunting memory of the parents she may one day have to kill. A tale of blood, steel, and resilience-where heritage becomes the blade, and survival is carved in the edge of a keris.

She's a girl with dirt-streaked fingers and flowers in her hair. Sweet. Soft. A quiet soul more at home among vines and moonlight than courts and crowns. But fate has its own rhythm. And it leads her straight to Rhysand, the High Lord of Night. Powerful, untouchable, carved from stardust and storm. A male who sees her not as delicate, but divine. Their bond is unexpected, ancient. Where he is shadow, she is bloom. Where he commands the skies, she listens to the earth's breath. She may tremble in silks and blush when spoken to, but she roots herself deeper in his heart than he ever thought possible. A story of the girl who bloomed in darkness and the High Lord who learned that even among stars, it's the flower that teaches you how to grow.
