Imagine to yourself. You're granted a chance at the Top Academy of your country. After being through so much hell, you're given the chance of a lifetime. Such is that with Akira Odashi and his Older Brother, Junpei Odashi.
Both Brothers are accepted into Extraordinary Minds Academy. An Academy meant for those in the world with Extraordinary Mindsets or Talents that can change the world. Both Orphans who have lost their mother, are accepted into the Academy as part of a program. A program known as the Humanity Preservation Program. A Program made for Top Students to take part of the leaders in 4 Branches of Society. Technology, Money, Power, and Morality.
However..Someone has hijacked the facility the students dont remember themselves ever staying in, and sent in a Robotic AI named Monodev, who has tasked these students with one task. Kill a student and get away with it. If caught, you die. If you get away with it, you risk killing everyone else.
Who will survive? Who will die? Whos the one orchestrating this horrific game?

If only those words could ring true in our ears, and bring us the relief we need instead of delving us into the abysses of our own insanity. The very thoughts held by the students locked in this new facility. A new killing game is just beginning. Shortly after the events of Road to Hell, Akira and his remaining friends escape to discover that the games are only just starting, and that a new one is unraveling in an Abyss Unknown. Mayu Akagi, also known as the Ultimate Plush Maker has been accepted into Extraordinary Minds Academy. One of the top tier schools of the world. However, little does she know..this is a once in a lifetime experience. For future? For the happiness of yourself, to prove to society your worth? Perhaps even..a one time chance at playing a game of life or death for the entertainment of sick individuals. Waking up, Mayu meets 15 other students much like her. After introducing themselves to each other, theyre told by a strange robot Walrus AI named MonoTusk that theyre all strangers locked in a game. Where if you kill a classmate and get away with it, you can leave..but risk condemning your innocent classmates. Maybe that's for the better, and these people are horrible..or maybe. Each student has some value to the world they wish to show, but now..may never get to show. Will Mayu survive this game? Who among them is the one controlling this game? Hotel of Despair! (a Next-Gen Fanganronpa)
Heads Up: This is a Next Generation AU for the series Danganronpa. There will be references to all 4 games as well as the anime, so if you're unfamiliar with the series then it is highly recommended you either watch gameplay or play the games yourself, as that will give you the best reading experience. Since this story is a fanmade killing game, there will be mentions of violence as well as Major Character Death, so if you know you are someone who is sensitive to that material then it is recommended you give this story a pass. With that said, onto the ACTUAL description! ----- Hopes Peak Academy. A prestigious school, one that carried respect and praise; it is said that attending the school would grant you a successful future, whether that be money, fame, or status. The students represent the future of the world, their titles as Ultimates representing the hope that followed our future leaders. Satoshi Ikusaba, the Ultimate Strategist, had a plan on how his first day would go- he made sure to prepare for ANYTHING that could happen. Breakfast before school? Check. School supplies ready? Check. Getting him and his step-sister to school on time? Check. Passing out at the front of the school and waking up in a weird hotel with no idea how he got there? Check... Except the only problem is that the last bullet point wasn't on his list, or even something he took into account in the first place! Thankfully, he isn't alone; With his step-sister Kazue Maizono and his closest ally Jun Naegi on his side, he'll make sure to find the mastermind and put an end to this killing game once and for all!
