Temperance and Caleb have been best friends for the last 2 years- since they started college together. They're inseperable, so it's only natural for him to offer her the guest room in his dad's house, after her dorm flooded. Caleb's father, James, hasn't been home for the past 3 years, due to work, so it's just Temperance and Caleb in the house, until James finally comes back.
Temperance could recognise this man anywhere, even if she hadn't given him a lap dance a few nights ago. He has no idea who she is, but has a feeling he knows her. When he finds out who she is, though, he gets the same feeling he had that night- that he's known her forever.
He wants her. He needs her. Βut he can't utter his feelings; not when she's his son's closest friend in years and over 20 years younger than him.
She's drawn to him in a way she hasn't to anyone before- of course not, she's only 20 years old- but she knows better than to go after him. Caleb still experiences the aftermath of his parent's divorce, so James getting seriously involved with a woman would throe him off balance, especially if it's his best friend.
They are at an impass. What will prevail? Logic or feelings?
