For some people, it feels like you were born just for life to throw you straight into the gunfire.

Raven was born into hell. Twenty years of her life spent in a trafficking ring, where she was sold, silenced, and closed off from the rest of the world. Escape was never supposed to be possible for her, until it was.
Freedom still felt out of reach, though. No one prepares you for the aftermath of your trauma.

When a notorious outlaw group takes her in, created to help women in her situation, Raven finds herself struggling to get her footing into the world. Especially with men who live outside of the law. At the centre of all of it is Ashton, a man seemingly just as broken as she is, and the only person who makes her feel everything all at once.

A year ago, Ashton lost almost everything. His family, his past, his soul. Hellbent on getting revenge, and making those who hurt his family suffer, he's blinded by grief and trauma. Now, leading the Reapers group, he drowns himself in his work, and alcohol, to keep himself from falling apart. Neither of them planned on finding each other, but despite how terrified they are, neither of them can control how the other makes them feel, or the fact that they feel drawn to each other.
But as their past begin to swallow them whole, both of them must figure out whether they should: keep running, or try to face it together.
