The Fire & The Fang - A Last Of Us Story

Only about a month or two after the end of her vengeance in Seattle, nineteen-year-old Ellie Williams wanders through the ruins of a world that has taken everything from her. Scarred, restless, and alone, she crosses paths with Cassian Holt - an assassin in his early 20's raised by the infamous Silver Fangs guild. Cassian is precise, ruthless, and utterly unreadable, a man who treats silence as both weapon and shield. To Ellie's frustration, he's also young, sharp-eyed, and dangerously pragmatic.

When Cassian demonstrates his strange "bio-weapon" - a mysterious vial that melts a clicker's jaw like acid - Ellie's suspicion only deepens. He insists it's nothing more than chemistry, but Ellie can't shake the feeling he's hiding something darker. Against her better judgment, she falls into step with him, the bratty survivor clashing with the hooded killer in a tug-of-war between trust and defiance. She calls him "Cass" just to get under his skin. He calls her "kid" or "brat" because it fits too well.

But in a world where love is a liability, where silence can mean survival, and where secrets can kill faster than Cordyceps Virus, Ellie finds herself asking the one question she swore she was done with:

"Can I let myself care for someone again - or will I just watch him die too?"
