After a tragically embarrassing middle school experience and a wild glow-up at the beginning of highschool, Keigo Amane believes he has it all. Good looks, charming personality, an actual life, he even has a girlfriend! ...Or he hires a girl to hang out with him so he can tell his friends he has one, at least. However... there's one little thing that grinds his gears and makes all his effort to be popular and cool this year feel worthless. A boy named Sato Hanasaki. He's always taunting Keigo! Smiling at him when they meet eyes, waving at him in the walkways, greeting him in the mornings, it's infuriating! If it weren't for how Hanasaki were effortlessly popular and attractive, Keigo wouldn't be so annoyed. He had to put in all that work, just for Hanasaki to be born with that luck! And to top it all off... his big sister is Keigo's fake-almost-real girlfriend!

Academic rivals by day, secret soulmates by night. Jungwon thinks romance is illogical. Jay thinks love is written in fate. Their rivalry is legendary-fighting over grades, who can type faster in class, and who can roll their eyes harder. But when Jungwon stumbles upon a mysterious note tucked inside a library book, he unknowingly begins a secret correspondence with someone who challenges his view on love. Neither of them realizes the truth: the stranger leaving letters is the same person they argue with daily over whether or not "café studying" counts as real studying. As words exchanged in ink turn into something deeper, will they connect the dots before it's too late? Or will their greatest mystery remain unsolved-just like Jay's missing pen that Jungwon definitely didn't steal?
