A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away...
On Kald-Død, a planet of ice and snow, two, lowly, foreign soldiers meet while attempting to escape perilous doom at the end of savages.
Years later, the two have climbed up the ranks of their respective militaries. One a captain leading his platoon in service of the Republic; the other commander of Cornalia's army in service of her people.
When disaster strikes and the Republic is desperate aid, the Jedi send Anakin Skywalker, his padawan Ahsoka Tano, and their platoon to Cornalia, in hopes of striking a deal with the Queen. Trouble arises when reports come in of a Separatist delegation having been sent to Cornalia in countermeasures.
With identities masked, schemes drawn up, and treason sown deep into Cornalia's government, lives are at stake and the cost of defeat is higher than ever before....

He stared into hers, begging them to return to ocean blue. But it was no use. This girl may have looked like Ahsoka, but she was not his Padawan any longer. The Dark Side had truly taken her. ~~~ In this galaxy, Palpatine was killed in a speeder accident when he was a boy, and never rose to power. Another Dark Lord created Order 66, but was more interested in simply killing the Jedi quickly and efficiently. He wasn't looking for an apprentice. In this galaxy, Anakin never went to the Dark Side. In this galaxy, Padmé survived. In this galaxy, the Skywalker family lives together, far from harm's way, where they can raise their children in peace. In this galaxy, Ahsoka Tano has been dead for eleven years. War, it doesn't seem to end. But the life of Anakin Skywalker leads him to a padawan named Ahoska Tano. Her grandmaster, Obi-wan Kenobi, a man she looks up to as well. Ever since, they've landed back on Coruscant, he's a bit more tired than average and Obi-wan isn't quite sure what to do let alone to make of the war they face. Separation, sadness and love all seem to be something Anakin learns over time Oh shocker, Obi-wan is a wisecrack the entire time and he tries to be sane when they land on earth. Fresh from the Battle of Endor, Leia finally has time to contemplate the fact Luke is her brother and - more horrifically - her father was the infamous Darth Vader. While everyone is celebrating the definitive end of the Empire, she stays in her quarters and wonders what this effect could have on her. She had just learnt she was the daughter of the most evil and powerful being in the galaxy, her best friend was in fact her brother and that she was capable of the exact same power they both held. That would mess with anyone's head! When she finally rejoins her fellow comrades in the festivities, she finds herself face to face with an old friend of hers. Ahsoka Tano. Being the apprentice of Anakin Skywalker, she knew Leia's father well (at least, before he became a tyrant). Ahsoka talked all night with Luke and Leia, telling them tales of the Clone Wars, with Commander Rex joining in to show his admiration of his lost general. What if they could go back and stop the Empire from ever happening? What if they could stop their father from decending into the dark side? What if they could prevent the destruction of the Jedi? What if they could stop the Emperor before he even started? Minor spoilers for Clone Wars, Rebels and possibly Mandalorian.
