Ezekiel Albek is a brawler at the Yang Tavern, who is asked for help from a mysterious vigilante called "Enigma" roaming Ninjago City's streets while the ninja work to locate vengestone shipments and understand their purpose.
Meanwhile, a dangerous alliance is formed between Ex-Empress Medua and Lord Garmadon, who seek out instruction and assistance on how to recreate an ancient and powerful portal called the Rift, capable of connecting to all sixteen realms and giving them access to powers that can be found within them.
But is the Rift all bad, and is Garmadon really the person he says he is?
