They say grief breaks people in different ways. For Misaki, it broke her mother, and forced her to become someone else entirely.

When her little brother's life was taken by the man meant to protect them, and her mother fell into a silence too deep to follow, Misaki did the only thing a child could do. She cut her hair, lowered her voice, and stepped into the role of a son to keep her mother from falling apart.

And as the Tokyo Manji Gang spirals deeper into blood and regret, Misaki finds herself pulled into a world she never asked to understand. Intervening in fates she shouldn't know and was never meant to touch.
