Five Thousand Paper Cranes

Upon learning that she carries an incurable disease, Ven Alcaraz decided to make five thousand paper cranes-until she recovers, or until she reaches the end of her life.

Over time, she folded paper cranes while staying in the hospital, watching how life unfolded beyond the four corners of her room. That was when she met Mil Ramos, a doctor deeply dedicated to his work.

For Mil, it was a promise to preserve and save lives-to add more years to each story-because he believed that life is always worth continuing, even if everyone must walk down a rough road.
