Romance
Jayla Flores and Giovanni Lao have been inseparable since elementary - seatmates, science partners, and each other's plus-one during family events. Everyone jokes that they're basically a couple, but for Jayla and Gio, it's always been almost. Now that it's senior year, everything feels like it's changing. Gio might go back to China and Jayla is torn between applying for a scholarship in the city or staying in their hometown. To make things worse, their busy life as graduating students - and being in different strands - continuously draws a thicker line between them. But when a series of events pushed them back together, their carefully maintained "just friends" routine started to crack. With the graduation looming over them, Jayla and Gio are forced to face the question: will they stay an almost or finally take a leap before time runs out?
