The Aftermath

"No! N, no!" Uzi's system steams from the exhaustion. "Cyn, please!"

N bursts into Uzi's room, waking her up in the process. "Uzi!?" She sits up, hyperventilating. Her eyes frantic, scanning the room, and catching N's eyes. Immediately, her shoulders relax, and oil seeps through the cracks of her face plate.

N embraces her tightly, "It was a nightmare, Uzi. Just a nightmare."

Uzi clings to his coat and squeezes it in her fists, burying her face in his chest.

It wasn't real, it was just a nightmare...Right?

After Cyn's defeat and rain of destruction, Uzi begins to struggle trying to cope with the previous events, mainly the burden she placed on N and how he almost sacrificed himself for her. The memories replay over and over in her head, even when she blocks them out.

Her life with her newfound friends and partner N was great after the battle. They started to rebuild the community, Uzi thought everything was great until the flashbacks started.

The memories start to get more extreme and less under her control, Uzi begins to wonder if she's controlling them at all...or if someone, or something else, is.
