Twenty-year-old Vienna Xeron was supposed to enter the Scribe Quadrant, living a quiet life among books and history. Now, the commanding general-also known as her tough-as-talons mother-has ordered Vienna to join the hundreds of candidates striving to become the elite of Navarre: dragon riders. With fewer dragons willing to bond than cadets, most would kill Violet to better their own chances of success. The rest would kill her just for being her mother's daughter-like Holden Veirnack, the most powerful and ruthless wingleader in the Riders Quadrant. With every day that passes, the war outside grows more deadly, the kingdom's protective wards are failing, and the death toll continues to rise. Even worse, Vienna begins to suspect leadership is hiding a terrible secret. Friends, enemies, lovers. Everyone at Basgiath War College has an agenda-because once you enter, there are only two ways out: graduate or die. ----------------------------------------------------------- this is basically Fourth Wing but some wording is changed and with my own characters (and some different plot pieces). As the chapters go on, there will be more divergence from the book. Please give it a chance🙏🏼

Auren Riorson never expected to survive her first year at Basgiath War College-not like this. Not with the memory of Liam's death carved into her bones. Not with a signet that grows more volatile by the day. Not with the truth about her family's murder and the fables of dark wielders and wyvern proving to be terrifyingly real. Now, the real tests begin. Second year at Basgiath is more brutal than the first, filled with survival trials designed to break riders from the inside out. But it isn't just the enemy outside the wards she has to fear. With her dragon Mal newly mated to a dragon-Auren finds herself tethered, however unwillingly, to the one rider she vowed never to trust. And with Navarre's lies unraveling, every secret threatens to destroy her before the venin ever can. The world is burning. Wardstones are failing. And the dark wielders aren't just stories whispered in the archives-they're coming. To survive, Auren must decide who is truly worth her trust, even as betrayals cut closer to home than she ever imagined. Determination won't be enough this time. Because in a world where dragons choose their riders, and dragons themselves carry dangerous secrets, Auren will have to prove that her iron will is strong enough to save them all- -or risk losing everything she holds dear to the flames.
