When orphans start disappearing in the night almost no one notice it. All the people in Willow Creek thinks just as you would expect that the children just ran away because of the bad food rationing that was given to the orphans or because of the bad treatment they get from the comunity. 

But when Julia´s  best friend  disappear she get´s kind of confused. Because if Samuel would run away  then he would tell her, right? But when she looks closer at the room where Samuel last was seen she notice  that things are not as it should be, and on her way of finding Samuel she discover that the people she trusted the most in fact was the people she should fear the most.
