The Afton Family: Origins.
The Afton family is central to the lore of the "Five Nights at Freddy's" series. The story begins with William Afton, a talented engineer and co-founder of a restaurant chain that features animatronic characters. William met Clara, a kind and supportive woman who later became his wife. The couple got married and settled down, starting a family together. They had three children: Michael, the eldest, who grew up trying to live up to his father's expectations; Chris (often referred to as the "Crying Child" by fans), the sensitive middle child who had a deep fear of the animatronics; and Elizabeth, the youngest, who shared her father's fascination with the animatronics but lacked an understanding of their dangers. As the Afton children grew up, the family dynamic became increasingly strained. Afton Robotics LLC; voted America's most reliable tech company since 1983, is known mainly for making animatronics for a pizzeria chain owned by Fazbear Entertainment. In fact, Mr. Afton is the co-owner of the local Fazbears Pizzeria. Y/N's parents assist in supplying Afton Robotics with minor technical supplies, when Afton finds out that the L/N's have potential in building his new line of animatronics he promotes them to executive technicians.
