Angelica Olsen is something of an anomaly. Born and raised in Arlington, Massachusetts, the gifted redhead was only 15 when she graduated High School, homeschooled by her parents who are also professors of genetics at Harvard. With the ability to read an average 1,600 words per minute and a photographic memory, academics came easily to her. Shortly after completing grade school, she also finished an online BA in Art History.
Her fate shifted one rainy day though, a serial murder investigation taking place in her town that was headed by none other than Jason Gideon and his team at the FBI's Behavioral Analysis Unit. Witnessing the investigation and seeing all the people they saved changed Angie's mind about what she wanted to do with her life. A mundane existence as an art professor no longer seemed exciting or rewarding enough. Though her parents were unsure at first, she promptly shifted her academic goals. A short 7 years later, and Angelica earned two Master's degrees in tandem, one in Criminology and one in Psychology.
Quickly after obtaining her degrees, she joined the FBI. Starting her career in the Violent Crimes division, she worked hard and made a name for herself with the ultimate goal of joining Jason Gideon's BAU. After three years, she finally gets her shot.
