𝐁𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐚𝐭
Selina and Bruce weren't well acquainted with each other, atleast not yet. After his parents tragic passing Bruce wanted to never let anyone close to his heart. Over time, Selina and Bruce's path aligned. Slowly, his heart to open again and right before he could let his guard down, Selina was taken from him. Bruce had gotten tired of losing people, and he wouldn't lose for the third time. He vowed to make a change not only for himself but for his city.

This makes poor Bats second guess himself, and he too struggles with his own feelings. _______ This is extremely Bruce and Joker centric, I don't think Selina even has dialogue- so yeah, just a heads up. ________ For anyone who's been reading as it updates, I upgraded the summary to better suit the plot, it's not drastically diffetent, but is no longer the same as what I wrote 3 yrs ago. Jane Clair and Bruce Wayne have known each other since the two were in diapers their family were close school friends growing up. Jane a simple young woman who always does her best to stay away from trouble is distanced from Bruce after his parent's death. Although Bruce Wayne loves and cares for her he feard that every time he is near her only danger will creep behind her so when he becomes the protector of Gotham and the villains have discovered his soft spot his one goal is to keep her from danger. Even though she has other things planned herself. A Budding Romance With a Stray Cat
Selina Kyle ran off before her wedding to Bruce Wayne minutes before the ceremony. Beforehand marriage sounded like a great idea, but afterwards, she started to understand what just might change; Bruce would be happy, Selina wouldn't be able to be a criminal like she used to be, and she'd be a liability for Bruce. Suddenly, being on Bruce Wayne's arm held more responsibility than she realized. In a split second decision, Selina ran off to the only place she could go: California. She knew Ivy resided there ever since she left Gotham and she just needed a friend to confide in. And that was exactly what Selina did with Ivy...confided in her...among other things. However during Selina's time with Ivy, Bruce has been calling every day, trying to get a fighting chance of getting his fiancée back. Selina finds herself in between destroying old love for a new love or preventing a new love from getting too far to go back to an old one. Batman especially has been dealing with more than he can handle and Clark is tired of seeing his friend so stressed out.
