when you think of zombies what comes to mind? is it the undead shambling around endlessly moaning and groaning? or is it what you see on TV and movies well not all of that is think and I should know, I lived through it....

Zombie princess
The Government took me away from my family when I was 8 years old, they said I wasn't Zombie enough to be considered a Zombie. They had my name changed from something original, but that let's face it doesn't match anything about me, to a normal unique original name. Most zombies did have normal human like names except for me. Now, I'm a human. No one trusts me at all, I don't need a watch thing, but everyone still thinks I'll eat their brains. Runaway
I've been on the run for three years. I'm not the first, but I certainly won't be the last. For as long as I can remember, I had been experimented on, drugged to the brink of insanity, and tortured by someone I thought was my family. Boy, was I wrong. I thought things couldn't get worse, I've been back in town for 8 months, 8 months since I lost my team, since I got half my face and body burned. Since my friends, my family, died. my days are spent sitting in a bar drinking until the pain eases for some time. So yes, I thought things couldn't get worse, how wrong was I? For weeks the news has been talking about it, a new pandemic, there's never real answers just half-truths. Is it dangerous? Yes. There's a cure? No comment. How many deaths? No comments. And then it happens, people from the big city are running and the word of what's happening is spreading. Zombies they say, because of course its zombies. For a moment I think that this is it, maybe this is how I go. But I can't let it happen, this makes me realize there's people out there I care about and I can't just sit and wait anymore. I have to do something.

The world ended long ago, riddled with plague and zombies and destruction. But humanity survived, and humanity evolved. The Infection that helped bring the world to its knees also changed humans in ways to help them keep living in this now broken world ready to be rebuilt. Seven lineages with three strains each, and each have their own unique set of traits that help us survive. But that's not what this story is about-at least, not really. This story isn't about how a hero will rise and bring the world back to what it was Pre-Fall. This story is about me, an ordinary Remanat living life through the world day to day as a mercenary. A beginner mercenary as everyone likes to remind me. The others in my group have been calling me 'Rookie' since I joined them three months ago. I'm beginning to wonder if they actually know my name. We have been hired to help the New Reach Caravan travel across the wastelands to Philly Del Phia, and this is the perfect opportunity to show them that I'm not just a dumb Rookie. I'm actually quite good at my job. I just happen to get distracted by one certain Eight-Ball, but it's not my fault he's good-looking, and charming, and funny... Anyway, all I have to do is help my group get the caravan to Del Phia. Should be an easy enough job. Just avoid the zoms and keep clear of the Raiders, and we should be fine... Right?
