It's been years since civilization fell. Humans have retreated into the sky, but for how long? A hundred years ago when the invaders came to earth they forced people either to retreat onto their ships or be demolished by the alien hand. What if some survived?
Sasha Middleton, last of the Middleton family struggled her way to the top of her clan. Her and her people survived the harsh winters and melting summers, which seemed to be getting worse then what they were before. Not only is the clan being demolished from the inside out, but the world they called home is slowly destroying itself. No one really knew how X's came to be. One day there weren't any, the next day half the population was wiped out. All Karma knew was that they are technological monsters, fit to be the world's biggest weapon, after the splitting particle ray which could reduce any person into air particles in a millisecond. Karma realised how simple it would be to destroy an army even with one X. They were practically indestructible, perfect killing machines, only they'd turned on the government, apparently. Or maybe those bastards had escaped perfectly unharmed, watching how the country was being destroyed. Maybe it was an excuse for overpopulation. xx-xx Karma has been trying to survive for over a year, but it's difficult when X's, mechanical killing machines, roam the streets, hungry for human flesh. Every day that passes by without finding a portal brings the morale lower. They need to escape the country before they all end up dead. It doesn't help that the X's have changed their tactics and are now manipulating people to commit suicide.
