But when a job opportunity leads her into a world of deception and danger, she finds herself face-to-face with the one person she never thought she would see again; Everett Johnson.
Once the devoted older brother of her best friend, Everett is now a high-ranking officer in the National Crime Eradication Force, and he has every reason to despise her. The problem? He doesn't seem to recognize her, or does he?
As Victoria becomes entangled in a web of crime, betrayal, and hidden truths, she must fight to prove her innocence in a situation where trust is a dangerous luxury. But karma never forgets its debts, and in Everett's eyes, she may already be guilty.
Can she outrun her past, or has it finally caught up with her?

"Can you see her face in mine? It's there, look closely. The innocent girl you cruelly murdered nine years ago is right here and ready to take her revenge, SO LOOK CLOSELY!" Victoria cried out.
"You need to scream louder, HER SCREAMS WERE LOUDER THAN THAT!!! Y-you wick-wicked waste of s-space, WHY WON'T YOU DIE?!!" She yelled.
"E-E-Everett, why is he not dying?" Victoria asked, crying hysterically.
Everett stretched his hands out and Donna understood, placing one of her glocks in his hands. He moved to the other side his sister's killer, the man who was still groaning in pain. He grabbed the man's jaw, making him look into his eyes. He placed the gun vertically in the center of his forehead.
"This is for my Tabitha." He pulled the trigger.
With eyes full of tears, Everett tilted his head to the heavens.
"It's over, Tabby. You can smile now, my love." He smiled, while also crying silently.
The men watched their boss, that would be the first time they saw him being vulnerable.
"He's dead." Victoria whispered.
