At twenty eight, the troublesome Tamika Ogechukwu was in debt, struggling to pay bills and provide for her family . Life was unfair. Haunted by her past and far from being conventionally beautiful and feminine, she's never known love or been intimate with a man, so when she attends a high school reunion intending to ruffle some feathers, she didn't expect to catch the eye of a young man who was anything but ordinary. He makes her feel things she's never felt before and want things she's never thought of. He's mysterious. He was unlike any man she's ever known. But being with a man like Charming comes at a price.

When i broke the kiss, we were breathing hard.

"You must have felt it. You must have known that something wasn't right me and with us. You need to get rid of this child, Tammy. You need to listen to me. "

"I don't listen to liars," Pulling back, she placed a hand on her protruding belly. " This child and i have been through a lot. At first, i was filled with resentment and shame but I've accepted my situation, even welcomed it." Getting up, she moved away.

I stood as she backed me. I heard her sniffle and bring a hand to her face. She was wiping away tears.

" You don't understand. I think you're-"

" I love you. " She turned, and sure enough her eyes were red.

Words i never thought I'd hear but felt. But that wasn't what perplexed me. Her feelings were real. I could tell. Her eyes were clear.
