"You know it won't go to the West," he said dropping his voice. "Maybe you're wrong. Who knows," she shrugged. Her shoulders had slumped but she had managed to not let any tears spill. "Baum knew what he was doing when he made the West wicked, Mary," he hissed. "The East was wicked in that book too, dumbass," Mary retorted. Jacob's hands went into fists to keep from pushing at his hair. The tree behind them began to shake slightly. The ground gave a tiny rumble. *************************************************** Mary's father recently passed. But she is finding out it might not have been from natural causes... 'What was that?' I whispered to Cole who had gone pale. 'I don't know' he replied. 'Should we go check it out?' I asked. 'Probably just Keeling dropping a box of files or something'. As I leave, the cold British wind greets me. I zip up my sweater, and start walking home. Thanks to my parents, I don't have a car. "You're too irresponsible for a car, Courtney.
