It was a cold January morning when the incident happened. A secret laboratory researching better vaccines and cures for fatal diseases spontaneously burst into flames, killing every scientist within... But some people who watched the footage swear that they saw some sort of strange creatures exiting the building? Skeptics exist, and they include a young man named Ethan, a chronic introvert with no interest in making even one new friend... But Ethan is about to be proved wrong as a personified, anthropomorphic, and very real pathogen shows up at his doorstep and convinces him to turn his small house into a sanctuary for more of her kind.
