Book 1 of Road to Redline One Night Will Change Everything.... After a miscalculation with the Tug Transformer on Earth, which resulted in their sworn enemy's sudden demise, the bros decide it's time to fix up their old ship and start to head back home. Suddenly, they are shot down, and the ship has broken apart into pieces upon re-entry of earth's atmosphere, scattering Vinnie, Throttle, and Modo across North America! Now Throttle has crash landed, and is injured badly on a barren, alpine mountain! At the same time a young man, Manuel Vernandez, is driving home from Bogus Basin, Idaho in his modified Civic CR-X. He has been delivering cooking supplies for his father, who lives at the Bogus Basin resort, running a restaurant called "Shifters". Through a twist of fate, he finds Throttle alongside the road on his way and brings him back to his home to help him recover and find the others. However, there is more to Manuel than there seems to be. Manuel is a mechanic at a speed shop called Throttleworks and a delivery boy for his father by day, but by night, he is a speed-hungry street racer! Hurling down the mountain bend like a man with a death wish, setting record times for the Bogus Basin Course! But that is the least of Manuel's secrets! Find out if Throttle, Modo, and Vinnie find each other and discover the tragic past of Manuel Vernandez in Mountain Drift! (Alternate timeline after Hellboy I) Liz Sherman is dead. It has been an inescapable truth for Hellboy since their showdown with Rasputin. No longer wanting to stay at the BPRD, he chooses to pack up and hit the road. He doesn't leave time even to explain anything to Abe Sapien. He just gets up and leaves, quietly hitchhiking from town to town. Out of sight, and out of mind. That all changes one day when he is hit by street racer Scott Storm in Tri-City bay, Florida, while Scott is testing the new turbocharged engine on his custom Nissan 240 SX. Only when Hellboy comes to, he doesn't have any memory of who he is! Scott, feeling responsible for the whole ordeal, lets Hellboy stay with him in his home in Tri-City Bay. As time passes, they begin to form a brotherly bond of sorts, as Scott street races in the evenings, along with working his day job to support them both financially. Eventually, Scott opens up to Hellboy about his past: He's following in the footsteps of his father, a former cop turned street racer, to rise to the top of Tri-City Bay's racing scene in memory of his father. But soon, things take a drastic turn, as not only are the BPRD are after Hellboy, but also the deprived Prince Nuada! Seeing Hellboy as an alternative progression to his plans, Nuada sends forces to hunt him down! Things only get more complicated when Motocross superstar Johnny Blaze, the Ghost Rider shows up in an explosive way along with a hellspawn claiming to be a renown US Government soldier, Al Simmons! What exactly is going on here, and who is really pulling the strings against Hellboy and Scott? Even worse, what are their true intentions?
