DAPHNA follows the journey of Ruth, a young girl experiencing grief , faith, and friendship after the sudden loss of her father, (Adam) . From the opening chapter, Ruth's world is shaken, leaving her to confront loneliness, mockery at school, and struggles with her faith in God . Her mother, Jane, consumed by work and her own grief, finds time and begins to try to put Ruth back in order ,but it doesnt seem to work out , while Grand-Aunt becomes Ruth's steady source of wisdom and guidance.
Throughout the chapters, Ruth learns to face the pain of being called names like "Mother Mary" at school for sharing her beliefs, and the loneliness she felt as her father was her only friend . Yet, Grand-Aunt gently leads her back to God's Word, teaching her how to lean on Scripture for strength. Along the way, Ruth wrestles with her identity, questions about prayer, and the challenge of finding courage in hostile surroundings.The story gradually unfolds with moments of hope,, faith, and rediscovery and most especially. A New Dawn.
Warning: this book's focus is drawn to a character who hints themes of depression and self-harm. The idea of the story is to present the experience of learning to understand and comfort someone through these struggles. So while these themes are contained within a comical styled story, they are still present so please be mindful of that before you read on.

(This book is a representation of my experiences with dating someone with depression in high school. I wrote it while we were dating, subconsciously writing him into the character Infinity. I will say that I intend to rewrite this at some point to send a better message, as I feel some of the actions in this book are unhealthy reactions to depression, that I have a much better perspective of now)
