This short paper explores how mining and manufacturing in space could secure humanity's future. With Earth's resources under strain and risks like climate change or asteroid impacts looming, the Moon, asteroids, and Mars offer water, metals, and even fuels that can sustain life and power rockets. Using these resources directly in space would make exploration cheaper, enable permanent settlements, and spark new technologies with everyday benefits back on Earth.
