Action Adventure Series • Book 3
The dream comes first.
Kaida runs barefoot through a forest that should not exist in Morocco.
'That's funny," she thought in the dream, 'because I know we made it back to Callahan's...'
Leaves glisten as though still dripping from India's rains, yet the desert wind sighs through the branches. She looks down and sees prints in the earth-not her own. Large, feline, padded.
A tiger's path.
The shadows pulse gold. Out from between the palm trees strides the beast-its eyes burning like twin suns, its body striped in black fire. But the strangest thing isn't its form-it's the girl astride its back. The Girl of the Gazelles, veiled in starlight, her lips whispering in a language Kaida almost understands.
The tiger growls, and the whole forest trembles.
Kaida's heart slams against her ribs-because she realizes the tiger isn't chasing her. It's circling her. Claiming her.
Then, with a thunderclap, the forest dissolves into snow and ice.
Kaida stumbles in the frigid blowing drifts, the tiger's golden outline shimmering as though it lives in both realms at once. Its voice- not a roar, but a command- sears through her dream:
"You are mine...Kaida. Enter now the dark side..."

Amid the whiplash of bitter cold and snow, The Sundowners follow The Golden Tiger Relic to Russia and are greeted by the ghostly guardian of an ancient, crumbling Monastery hidden in the snowdrifts of Siberia.
It is in this dark and foreboding land that Kaida faces herself, and the war between the darkness of her shadow and light is fought.
