A short written prose about the 5 stages of grief. This piece is a depiction of denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance, capturing heartbreak, healing, and the quiet strength it takes to survive. Everything that was written here reflects my personal thoughts and perspective on Elisabeth Kübler-Ross's theory.

Rachel is finally home. After too many missed moments, too many nights away, she's ready to put her family first. But something isn't right. Her husband won't look at her. Her children don't hear her. Even the dog seems... off. The house feels frozen, heavy with something unspoken. Memories slip through her fingers, and time doesn't feel the way it should. Rachel is determined to fix things-to reconnect, to make up for lost time. But the more she tries, the more she realizes that maybe the distance isn't just emotional. Maybe she's missing something. Maybe she's the one who's lost.
