James walked like he was walking the line of a tightrope, with his arms out to trace through windless night air. His cigarette was gone.

"Where are you going?"

He turned to Regulus' voice slowly, as if unsurprised he'd been followed through the hot dark.

James shrugged.

"You don't know?"

Sometimes James felt like picking a direction and walking until his legs gave out, then getting up the next day to keep walking, and never turning around.
