Leyla has a really boring life. She always believed she belonged somewhere else because nothing felt right in the world she lived in.
She'll find out she is actually right one day when a monster tries to "recruit" her by almost killing her best friend and then getting saved by a sort of mermaid who will tell her that her whole life has been a lie and that her favorite book is actually a prophecy that she'll forget as soon as she steps in a certain summer camp.
