Upendo Mwangi was supposed to be unstoppable, but one night almost shattered everything and she pushed away the only person who ever made her feel safe: Orion Achilleos. Now, she's tired of letting life happen to her and ready to flip the script and face her trauma head-on. Even if that means no longer ignoring Orion. Orion's hiding on the ice, hoping to numb out the pain the past year has left him in. That plan works until Upendo's smile becomes the only thing keeping him grounded. But the deeper his scars cut, the harder it is to believe he deserves her, especially when someone else is willing to take his place. Second chances are not easy and they both have to fight their insecurities to accept that not every second chance is a terrible thing. Cover made by @-MilaSteele
