MOKA INOUE epitomizes what happens when a child is left unsupervised. A product of a lack of attention, she grew up without a filter, which gave her the opportunity to explore the world, and thus, she lost herself in the place that found her most: the circus. There, she learned to entertain people and created a mask to hide who she truly was. She lived for deception, tricks, and exposure──always focused on entertaining the audience while also using it for her own entertainment.

SUNATO BANDA grew up in a home where nothing ever seemed to work. He endured so much until he developed psychopathic tendencies. This was troubling, but no more so than surrendering to true human limits and killing four girls, soon being sentenced. On the day he was going to be executed, he was teleported to a new world──there, he met a girl as crazy as he was.

The Borderlands made them be able to continue their acts──maybe not in the way they expected, but at least it worked.
