Beneath the iron rule of Woundwort's Efrafa, a lone rabbit kit bears a pale crescent of fur like a moonlit promise. Discovered by the young patrol soldier Campion, she is named Spark-and her quiet endurance will ignite a legend.
Under the shadow of tyranny, Spark learns to forage, to listen, and to stand her ground. When a fox attack forges her courage into flame, even the bitterest Efrafan cannot dismiss her bravery.
Whispers of escape stir hope among the enslaved. Spark seizes her chance for freedom and stumbles into the gentle winds of Watership Down. There, she earns the trust of Hazel, Bigwig, and Fiver-and wins Campion's secret devotion.
