My Peace Was Steady Until It Wasn't is my journey in poems - through heartbreak, betrayal, grief, love, and survival. It's messy. It's raw. It's the truth of what it feels like to love too deeply, to lose too much, and to still find the strength to rise.
If you've ever felt broken, if you've ever begged the silence for answers, if you've ever loved someone who left you in pieces - these pages are for you.

My body began to curl itself into a ball and sounds of pain helplessly escaped from my throat. The startled animal sounds began to project from my body as it continued to go into shut down mode.
It's like the walls have begun to collapse and all of the rubble is falling on top of me and only me. I can hear people screaming and shouting, but for some reason, I feel like I am the only one who can hear them. They are screaming for me to leave, to just run away. They are all so scared of this catastrophic earthquake.
Because everything that they know is falling apart.
