I kept staring at him. Whatever he was saying was true. I believed him but I was so wrong. He leaned down to look more closely into my eyes and observe my reaction.

"Just as I fell for your beautiful, tortured soul." My eyes went wide on his declaration. "Don't pretend you're innocent in this game, Aneet. We are two people who see each other for what we are; artists of deception. You paint a world you want to see. I built one."
