June Hawks is fifteen, with an untamed love for music, a best friend who plays bass, and a talent for getting herself into trouble when things couldn't possibly get worse. What she doesn't have is a home (not for the past six months), a father (not for years), or the faintest trace of common sense.

All she wants, besides a hot meal, is to know who her father is. Maybe that's why she wrote him a song she hums across London, night and day.
Maybe that's why she can't help but be drawn to that house on Wobble Street, the one that always seems to be spilling music into the air...
