When the distance between Lucia and the dog minimized her relief quickly turned to horror.
A few meters from Mushu, a big black creature that resembled a mix between a bat or a gecko was sleeping.
Lucia was horrified as she slowly approached her dog, but as she was two meters from the creature, that damned dog started barking.
"No! No, Mushu!" she whisper-yelled.
She turned toward the creature and saw those haunting yellow eyes.
The creature let out a sound that resembled a pained or frustrated groan.
Lucia slowly backed away out of fear, and just as slowly the creature started to stand.
