Against her will Anthea realizes, that she could make a difference to turn the tables in a dangerous game of power, but there are some people who see her as nothing but a threat to get rid of.
As she finds an ally in Geta, the younger new prince of Rome, they try to find their way through this glourious and glamorous mystery.

But as fate and the evil powers of Rome take a test on them all, they have to find the pieces of a long forgotten dream and stick them together again...
