Our Summer

For Charlie, this summer feels like the end. After she and her twin brother, Conrad, discover that their mother's cancer has returned and that she's refusing treatment the weight on Charlie's shoulders only grows heavier. Adding to the pain, she can't forget that their father cheated with his secretary three years ago.

Charlie has changed. Her rebellious streak has only deepened, and she's earned a reputation as a "fuck girl," a mask to hide the fear, anger, and helplessness she carries. She doesn't know how to fix things, how to help her mom, or even how to keep herself from falling apart.

But not everything is darkness. Falling for Taylor is the one bright spark, the best thing that's happened to her in a long time. The question is, can Charlie hold on to this new love? Or will she mess it up, the way she fears she ruins everything else?
