At Radley College, nestled in the heart of Oxfordshire, life was a blend of tradition and energy. The red-bricked buildings with their sweeping lawns and spires could almost pass for Hogwarts, and to the boys who studied there, the place felt just as magical. Days were filled with sport on the cricket fields, rowing on the Thames, art studios filled with sketches and clay, outdoor adventures in the surrounding countryside, and the endless whirl of academic societies.
Among the students was James Alexander Philip Theo Mountbatten-Windsor, Earl of Wessex. To the outside world, he was royalty-the son of Prince Edward, Duke of Edinburgh, and Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh. But within Radley's walls, he was simply James. The other boys hardly cared for his titles; he rowed, studied, and laughed alongside them as any other sixth-former would. He preferred it that way, free from the weight of being treated like a prince.
Alisha Grace Rosé had known about James since their paths first crossed in 2022. She was eighteen now, the same age as him, and for as long as she could remember she had harbored a quiet crush. Yet she never dared to tell him. In class, when they were paired for projects, she found herself tongue-tied; James, polite but distant, never seemed to notice her at all.

Transferring to a new school is rough. Transferring to a new school in a different country is rougher. Transferring to a new school in a different country and not being a 'normal witch' is the roughest though. I didn't want to transfer to a new school for my sixth and seventh years, but my family was under attack and I didn't have any choice. My cousins were lucky enough to be done with school, so they got to stay at home. I however have started being shipped around the world in search of a school willing to accept a 'half-vamp' student. I don't think I'll find any wiling schools though, not outside the US anyway. Honestly, I just wish I could stay home and risk being attacked.
