The fur was deep brown, but across one eye ran a white patch, his paws tipped the same pale color. Like bandages. "...Tch," Chuuya exhaled softly, his chest tightening. "Of course." The pup looked back at him silently, ears drooping, but eyes sharp, observant. Out of place among the loud brothers. Quiet, hesitant, refusing food, stubborn in his own way. "Not wantin' to eat, always actin' like you're too good for the crowd. You're a damn brat." The tiniest smile tugged at Chuuya's lips. "...Guess I'll call you Mackerel or: Chuuya secretly adopts a litter of puppies and grows so attached that he starts calling them his "kids." When one puppy goes missing, his pride forces him to reluctantly ask the Armed Detective Agency for help-while trying to keep Dazai out of it. Dazai Osamu and Nakahara Chuuya were sixteen when they first fell into something resembling love. It wasn't gentle or simple-how could it be, for two boys born in blood and bound by violence? Their connection was as jagged as broken glass, held together by the friction of their sharp edges. In a world of treachery and shadow, they found a fleeting solace in each other, something tender amidst the chaos. But love, like everything else in their lives, wasn't built to last. Two years later, Dazai shattered Chuuya's trust in a way only he could-cruel, deliberate, and devastatingly precise. He left without explanation, without warning, and without looking back, leaving Chuuya to pick up the pieces of a heart carved hollow. That was when everything began to unravel. In the absence of Dazai's calculated brilliance, the Port Mafia's violence escalated. What had once been a shadowy empire of calculated control became a relentless machine of destruction. Cities burned, lives crumbled, and the Mafia's sins grew too large to be ignored. Chuuya, already drowning in the weight of his heartbreak, found himself thrust deeper into the chaos, his name etched in crimson as a symbol of the Mafia's unstoppable power. Then came the breaking point. The government, long complicit through its silence, finally declared war on the Port Mafia. The order was absolute: disband the organization and execute its members without exception. Chuuya's name was at the top of every list, his reputation as a devastating force cementing him as the ultimate target. Now, hunted from all sides, Chuuya stands alone, a fugitive in a crumbling world. The man who once loved him is a ghost, haunting the shadows of his memory, while the sins of his past close in with every step. As the weight of survival presses down on him, a single question burns in his mind: **Can he escape the shadows of his own making, or will the abyss finally claim him?**
