A young romance is suddenly cut short after the tragic death of Clara Northman. Her death leaves behind a trail of broken hearts and unanswered questions. Clara's father requests the help of the best private investigator that money can buy, Bernard Montgomery, to solve the mystery of his daughter's murder. Montgomery is undeniably a spectacular detective, but he struggles with his own problems, and finds it difficult to focus on the case.

To Montgomery, everyone is a suspect with a motive to kill. The man trusts no one. He knows from personal experience that those who seem to be the most sincere can be the most deceitful.

While interrogating Clara's fiancé, details of the couple's romance surface and the story begins to unravel. Montgomery finds parts of their story disturbingly similar to his own, which causes him to pour his heart and soul into the case. The murder of Clara Northman hits home. Montgomery is no longer solving a case for the victim and her family. He owes it to his deceased wife to find Clara's killer, and he will stop at nothing until he does.

Guns, revenge and buildings to bomb, what could go wrong? ✮ He came in, gun held out in front of him in one hand while the other was resting on his hip where a sharp dagger gleamed in the light. "Come on out little girl, why not make this easier for both of us. The agency you ran away from just want to have a little talk, that's all." She scoffed internally. Yeah right. Then the footsteps ceased. She peeked to the right, then to the left. Neither direction showed any sign of the intruder. She looked up in front of her and gasped, the glint of steel and smell of death as overwhelming as it was adrenaline inducing, exciting. "Boo." ✮ Murder, accidents, assassinations. Call it what you will, it's all the same, all has the same life breaking, mind shattering consequences - be it for the victim or the bystander. It had shaped Alex in a way no one should be. Broken down and rebuilt into the perfect soldier, one who had the power to change the world, to fight battles that would either make or break the carefully constructed vision we all live in. The only small, minute, really unimportant detail - it's pretty hard to get into a government classified site when you're 15 years old and have a rag-tag team of double-crossing back-stabbers behind you. Not to mention the threat of a world war and ghost hanging above your head. Armed with sarcasm, wit, and a hell of a lot of aggressive intentions, it won't be too long till a sticky situation is all that's ahead of you. Sometimes, running head-first into a situation isn't the best idea. Instead, you gotta play a game. A deadly game where either you have all the pieces on the board, or you have nothing. The Spiritualist's Dilemma

12 parts Complete

Maya wants to become a detective, but there is a problem...She is a woman and this is 1878 Dr. Chinew's first night in his new house is disturbed by a break-in. The intruder steals nothing but leaves behind a message - Death Comes to All. Maya maintains she is not crazy, only different. Henry Camleman, the chief of Bombay Detective Agency, disagrees. He cannot think of any other reason why a (as far as he knew) reputable 21 year old woman would want to become a detective in his agency. Solving crimes in Cardim, a city teeming with crime and criminals, is fraught with danger and involves dealing with the kind of people he wouldn't imagine a woman mingling with in a thousand years. To humor the stubborn woman, however, he gives her a fairly harmless domestic case. A celebrated spiritualist claims that there are spirits in his house and Camleman wants Maya to prove otherwise. He hopes the case would keep Maya indulged in a puzzle of ghosts and spirits while keeping her safe from the grime of actual crimes. Little does Camleman know the true extent of the affair. As Maya delves deeper into the mystery, it takes her little time to uncover a web of theft, deceit, betrayal and murder which would test the skills and perseverance of the amateur detective to the fore. Will she pass the first exam of her professional career?
