Samantha's world has always been quiet-just her, her books, and the hope of surviving college without drawing too much attention. She's the girl who prefers libraries over parties, essays over gossip, and invisibility over chaos. Nick, on the other hand, is chaos in human form-the star quarterback, campus golden boy, and the last person anyone would expect to notice her. But when one late-night encounter turns into stolen moments, secrets, and whispers that spread faster than wildfire, Samantha finds herself in the spotlight for the first time in her life-because the quarterback has his eyes on the bookworm. Now the whole school is watching. She's fighting to stay grounded. He's fighting to prove he's not just a cliché. And together? They might just rewrite the playbook.

Mishelle Jackson wasn't your typical 'nerd'. She was a smart mouthed, quick witted, glasses wearing Black girl that came in a curvy package. Her main problem though: she had a pension for helping those in need. When the star quarterback needs some study help, she jumps at the opportunity. No matter how irritating and unavailable he might be. Excerpt: My eyes spring open as I scramble out of Deshaun's embrace. This was definitely no angel. No, this was a doberman shepherd in a 18-year-olds body. "You know my name is not Molly," I say. My hands on my hip as I rolled my neck at the boy. "That doesn't sound like a thank you mamas," his deep voice lets out. The sound as smooth as his rich, coffee-colored skin (before the creamer.) Mamas? That must work on the hoes around here. Girl, you know you felt a tingle stop playing. Like hell I did! My stare hardens on the dread head in front of me, in the dimness of the library he seemed darker than usual, his tattoos melding into one as he takes a step towards me. I pretended my heart didn't race as he stepped into my space, his vanilla and mint scent enveloping my senses. "You got a lot of sass on you," he says. "For a nerd."
